Kate
Kate has spent time poking her little finger into many of the various Goldenrod
pudding bowls. From salesrod to purchasing to webmistress, she has beenbbusy licking the chocolate off her fingers. She's only part-time now, as she spends the majority of her days on tour playing what she likes to call pleasantly aggressive folk music... She has morphed from a solo act to a duo with Sarah Cleaver, aka Nervous But Excited. They recently released a full length studio album,

Lisa
I have been at Goldenrod for 9 years now! I am the bookkeeper here at Goldenrod so if you have any account money questions, give me a call.
I have a fairly big family that keeps me busy when I’m not crunching numbers. There’s my husband, Jeff, and our combined children of Zach, Jamie, Quinten and Tyler. They are between the ages of 15 and 18 and it gets easier as they get older when we have all four.
My CD collection has grown so much over the years. There is really great music here to listen to, and we’re hoping here at Goldenrod to spread the word! Check out our staff picks, and take a chance on something new. The music really is awesome! Check it out and enjoy!

Marilyn
Marilyn’s intimately familiar with every single CD we sell; she probably unpacked the carton when the label sent it to us, it’s likely to be her who picks it back off the shelves and repacks it when you order it, and when something “hot” is flying out of the warehouse, you can be sure she’s tried it out on the warehouse music system! She’s a passionate softball player (shortstop), an enthusiastic camper, and a committed recycler. She’s also a gifted hostess – she and her partner entertain often in their gracious Lansing home, and she masterminds all Goldenrod parties.

Melinda
Melinda is back doing sales at Goldenrod due to Susan's illness. She was a sales rep here for 9 years selling music, which is one of her life-long passions. She also hosted a women's music radio show for 14 years and still maintains a large collection of vinyl, cassettes and CD's, although she understands the ease and availability of music files she still is committed to that physical commodity which is really a piece of that artist -- "there's something to be said for holding it in your hand." When she's not listening to music, she enjoys spending time with her partner and their 2 dogs and 2 cats. She also loves to write poetry and short fiction and read books with her book club.

MJ
MJ was a psuedorod for many years before making the commitment to drive an hour to work and join the staff. Having worked many festivals and events for Goldenrod she knows many of the people and much of the music. Though, now that she is in-house she has noticed the high numbers of new releases that come out every week! Incredible!!!!!

susan
Susan has been happily playing with Goldenrod since the early 80s, when Terry took her name and number off a check (because she kept buying up all the music) and called to see if she wanted to hit the road as a concert sales rep! In 1991, the planets all aligned (or something like that) and she came to work full-time for Goldenrod. A serious folkie at heart (gotta love those girls with guitars and great lyrics trying to change the world), she also thinks rock shows (wearing earplugs of course)with kick-ass women are grand too! The photo is of my two beagles, New Dog and Tug.

Terry
"Terry is the founding mother whose 1975 vision started Goldenrod. Inspired by what hearing Meg Christian live meant to the women who heard her, she began approaching record stores with the goal of convincing them to carry Meg's album "I Know You Know", thus becoming a wholesale distributor. Terry is now in her fourth decade at Goldenrod and remains passionate about the music. Still, to this day, she may have you sit down to hear an especially lovely chord or phrase in a song. Or maybe even the whole song! Times have changed drastically and though the business of bringing independently produced music to the world requires frequent re-tooling, we continue to search out ways to carry on.
When Terry is not at Goldenrod, she has a tax practice and prepares a few hundred tax returns each year. She is also part of the Red Cedar Friends Quaker meeting, adores her partner of 30+ years, gets to act silly with two very cool goddaughters, continues to grow in appreciation of her five fabulous sisters, and have fun travel adventures with friends."
