This fine klezmer band has released a grear album with help from one of the few all-women klezmer groups, the Isle of Klezbos. The title comes from a phrase that used to be used by assimilating Jews as a way to identify their religious beliefs separate from their nationality or cultural practices. The band re-claims the phrase, taking it from its painful and ironic legacy and emphasizing the other sense of mosaic, a vibrant whole as a combination of eclectic elements, fragments creating a larger field of harmony and meaning.
