" Oh my Good and Gracious God! I was able to view this awesome film on my local PBS channel last evening. I have loved this group for years and was so happy to get a chance to learn more about them.
What a wonderful film. I laughed, I cried and I felt a new jolt of commitment to social justice. An important reminder of where this country was just a few short years ago and a call to all of us to continue to work toward justice for all people. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who worked on this film and did such a beautiful job of capturing the essence of SHIR. IT was truly a beautiful and inspirational film. Thanks for having the courage to go after the Iraqi mess -- in Kansas no less! Just one indication of the courage and beauty of this amazing group of strong women. "

" The PBS special was absolutly fabulous. The rich history that my sisters brought to us gave me chills. The only regret I have is that I have not yet seen them in person in concert. I have always caught them on a special on tv. If you have not yet seen this documentry you missed a historical peice of knowledge that all Americans should see. " I cannot believe that the very first time I ever saw or heard of this Blessed and Glorious group was when I was searching for something to watch one night and turned to PBS. The program was nearly over, but the music touched my heart. I have never heard anything like Sweet Honey In The Rock. Regrettably, I was not able to find out when the program would be aired again. The very next day I called and ordered the the "Raise Your Voice" CD and DVD. The music is such a treasure to me -- thank you and God Bless. "
