" I was introduced to Jennie's amazing soulful bluesy voice shortly after the release of DSWOW. A friend of mine (& neighbor of Jennie) knew that I really like female artists with powerful & beautiful voices(i.e. Janis, Bonnie Raitt, Alannah Myles, Melissa Etheridge, etc.) so he loaned a tape of DSWOW. After hearing 'Barefoot to Babylon' I thought "Hmmmm, this could be interesting." By the time the title track was through I was hooked. It wasn't just Jennie's fantastic singing that hooked me ... it was the awesome musicianship and the meaningful lyrics that made me an instant fan. Compared to majority of CDs released at the same time DSWOW was a refreshing change .... they were mere snack sized bags of chips compared to DSWOW's 13 course Royal dinner. It has substance, meaning and integrity .... it leaves you full yet still yearning for more. MUCH MORE! You just don't want to stop listening to this disc.
The music, vocals and diversity of songs shows that Jennie and her band are fully capable of swimming with the Big Fish. Give this CD a listen and I don't think you'll be disappointed. "
