Sally Potter

Sally Potter is a powerhouse in the Mid-Michigan folk music community as a singer, banjo-player, song leader and successful producer of acoustic music events. She was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from FARM, Folk Alliance Region Mid-West. For 12 years, Potter performed, toured and released four CDs with the folk trio, Second Opinion. In 2005, Potter released a fifth CD, “It’s About Time,” with Pat Madden.

Known for her strong song leading skills, Sally has filled rooms with voices for nearly 20 years, leading a monthly community sing in the Lansing area, as well as community sings at several annual music festivals including The Wheatland Music Festival. For twelve years, Sally has been the volunteer booking manager for the Ten Pound Fiddle Concert and Dance Series and is the founder of the annual Mid-Winter Singing Festival.
